Although one might say it is not the most fully developed or historically "accurate" movie, it is a breath of fresh air. There is so much fodder on stories portraying terrible relationship legacies of our world, that to have one with a example of what it means to be ahead of one's time (Sabine as a woman in 1682) and for an insight to those who are fundamentally all good of heart or open to being reminded to be so, is critical in this day and age. We have too few examples of this in media. We need such films to remind us what it looks like to care about the whole of being in this world.
