Spectacular scenery of places that I might never seen on any tour. The wildlife introduces us to animals and birds that are not in zoos and only seen in places that they live!

A visually stimulating and awe inducing look see into five regions of Africa (the sixth episode rehashes material from the previous five and notes conservation efforts and pleads for more environmental protections). The narration is awful: there are more three word sentences than in a book for three year olds. Another drawback is that each episode has a ten minute part where the filmmakers talk about themselves and great and glamorous they are (really, they seem to have the mentality of 14 year old mean girls).

I bought this movie at HMV and I like the fact that it manages to keep the wildlife education at a pleasant enough African atmosphere with of course some lesser known things you might not know about African animals. My mom is from the Horn of Africa and even she enjoys this every now and then. I step in the right direction for sure. Well done, BBC Earth! Somewhere between an A- and a B+!

Fantastic photography! Do not care for the narrator, very boring voice!

Who knew that David Attenborough could best himself? Previously, unvisited (by camera crews) areas of Africa were visited over four years, and endless hours of patiently waiting on-site resulted in unique, and absolutely fantastic photography/videos. Sir David Attenborough is five stars!

Best wildlife documentary in jaw dropping sights and sounds in Africa's animal kingdom.

BBC does it again --- even more spectacularly. Beautifully filmed and narrated. We are gracefully and dramatically given unique glimpses into rare or never before filmed/known aspects of creatures and mother nature in Africa. This film makes one feel the wonder of our planet and appreciate it even more. A must see!!

Who knew giraffes had another side and monkeys so beautifully well masked and lizards so brave. Wonderful series of animal life. Well done.

Outstanding new documentary series from David Attenborough focusing on Africa. Film crews give us some stunning cinematography along the way, while Attenborough narrates the series, a knowledgeable and likeable voice. Three standout sequences in the series: a place where the jungle meets the ocean and animals large and small congregate to take in the surf, a battle between giraffes, and the sheer audacity of lizards in trying to have a meal of flies without disturbing sleeping lions.
