The Reluctant Assassin is another great book from Eoin Colfer. It is similar to the Artemis Fowl series in many ways but primarily in characters, style, and tone. For example, the character Cheveron "Chevie" Savano is written with a personality reminiscent of Holly Short. But even with the similarities the book offers a fresh take on time travel theories and the consequences of it rounded off with action, humor, and Moriarty-esque villain. I highly recommend this new series to anyone who enjoyed Artemis Fowl. The Reluctant Assassin is another great book from Eoin Colfer. this was a pretty good book, in my opinion it was not as good as the Goddess Test (Book 1 in the series), but it still was a great read.

Pathfinder was a brilliant book but some of the time travel concepts can be a bit overwhelming. I think the author really did a good job of connecting time lines and realities and actually acknowledging the different outcomes of time travel. Pathfinder has all the good elements of a good science fantasy novel, a fantasy world, futuristic technology, time travel, royal families, androids, just to name a few. I really look forward to the next book in this series.Pathfinder was a brilliant book but some of the time travel concepts can be a bit overwhelming. The Name of the Star was a great murder mystery except it was a bit gory. Still, it was a facinating read dealing with mystery and the supernatural. I can't wait for the next installment of the shades of London.
Summary:
The name of the Star is about Aurora "Rory" Deveaux, a girl from Louisiana, who chooses to spend a year in London at a boarding school called Wexford. On the day she arrives in London, a woman is murdered in the exact place, time, day, and way as the first Jack the Ripper murder from 1888. Soon more murders occur corresponding with the original dates of the Jack the Ripper "legend" in the same gruesomely way and London with its extensive CCTV cameras does not have a clue to who the culprit is. On the night of one of the murders, Rory sees a man. A man that her roommate does not see. Rory finds herself as the only person to have seen "the murder". Strange things start happening to Rory pulling her in to the midst of London's greatest mystery. It is up to Rory and her new found friends and the mysterious Shades of London to stop the Jack the Ripper copycat from killing the innocent. The name of the Star is about Aurora "Rory" Deveaux, a girl from Louisiana, who chooses to spend a year in London at a boarding school called Wexford. Beth Revis definitely knows how to write cliff-hangers. I can't wait for Shades of Earth. This trilogy has so many similarities with the original Star Trek TV Series. The first book, with people being sent cryogenically frozen into space for 300 years is very reminiscent of Space Seed (The Star Trek episode in which Khan is first introduced) and now in the second book, there are tons of elements done in Star Trek style. A million suns was a great book and in my opinion a bit better than the first.Beth Revis definitely knows how to write cliff-hangers. I can't wait for Shades of Earth. This book was an interesting portrayal of Anastasia Romanova. I have done quite a bit of research concerning the Romanov's through the years. The author was very accurate in her facts. The character of Sasha, who is obviously a fictional character, was a bit extreme since Anastasia never really had a romance like the one portrayed in this book. I was glad though that this book made clear at the end that the remains of all the Romanov Family have been identified. This book was an interesting portrayal of Anastasia Romanova. Crossed was a bit of a change from Matched, finally leaving the safety of the society and venturing to the outer provinces. Crossed is very much like Catching Fire. I have a feeling that this trilogy is going to completely mirror the Hunger Games. I am hoping for a surprise ending with the final book, Reached. It is said that Reached will also be partly from Xander's point of view so who knows, maybe Cassia will get Xander in the end!

The Last Gaurdian was a fitting end to the Artemis Fowl Series, though I wish it wasn't over. It really tied up lose ends except for one which easily could lead to another series. To all Artemis Fowl fans- it is an amazing end to a fantastic series!

The Maze runner was an amazing book and a great read! I loved how James Dashner contributed elements form the Hunger Games and the 13th reality series(Dashner's other series). It was definitely nice in this book that it had you guessing to the end not knowing what would happen. Wuthering Heights has a very complicated plot line. I got confused quite a bit near the beginning and the points between switching narrators could often be unclear. I found though it was a well written book, but the motives for the characters were quite creepy.Wuthering Heights has a very complicated plot line. The Beekeeper's Apprentice was a wonderful book. As some who has enjoyed many of the Sherlock Holmes short stories by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, I found the book absolutely fascinating. Laurie King does a great job of showing the famous detective in a new light yet still keeping the character believable as Sherlock Holmes. I recommend this for fans of Sherlock Holmes or even just fans of mystery. It is a suspenseful thrilling novel which keeps you reading it to the end.The Beekeeper's Apprentice was a wonderful book. Across the Universe was a very interesting book. It combines elements of Star Trek and City of Ember. I found though that the book gave away the identity of the murderer too quickly. Even though the characters take until close to the last chapter to figure out the murder I had it figured out the moment the murderer was introduced. The book still was good and had a very fascinating side plot that reminded me a lot of Star Trek II: Wrath of Khan. I look forward to reading the sequel.Across the Universe was a very interesting book. It combines elements of Star Trek and City of Ember. Matched was a very good book book. It is a dystopian earth romance story in a world controlled by The Society. I found it had elements very similar to Hunger Games as well as The Giver and Divergent so if you like those you will like Matched.

This was an amazing book but it was a little disappointing. This book didn't make sense with the rest of the series and could of been a lot more satisfactory. I felt that PB Kerr did not tie up all the loose ends and I still have many unanswered questions. To bad this is the last book in the series!
